Poplar Brook Arts was created by Lauren Barnes, a glass artist living and working in Mount Airy, Maryland. Lauren’s studio is adjacent to the farm where her mother grew up, Poplar Brook Farm, which is still in her family today. 

Lauren has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Ceramics) from the Maryland Institute College of Art. While she exclusively works in glass these days, ceramic arts are always on her mind.
